During my recent stay at the Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin, I experienced a serene slice of Japan's traditional culture. The tranquil environment, set amidst stunning mountains, proved perfect for unwinding. I took full advantage of the spacious public baths, which offered a soothing hot tub experience, allowing for a delightful escape after a day filled with exploration. The garden area surrounding the temple provided a peaceful setting for reflection. I appreciated the excellent service from the staff, who not only spoke fluent English but also offered insightful guidance on participating in morning ceremonies. While the stay was rejuvenating, I felt reassured knowing that safety facilities, including a luggage locker and a safety deposit box, were readily available.
